Fulton County Playhouse
Board Meeting Minutes
July 10th, 2011
Attendance: Ron Bunner, David
Miller, Larry Eskridge, Liz Pollitt, Joshua Derby, Cassie Derby,
Hannah Kline, and Christina Brown. Tammy Weaver and Randy Weaver
were at the playhouse but absent for most of the meeting as they had
a rehearsal. Absent were Adam Derby, Aaron Haacke, and Jim Lafary.
The meeting was called to order at
2:06 PM. Larry Eskridge gave the prayer.
The minutes from the June meeting
were presented and accepted by the board.
Financial Report:
Balance as of July 8th,
2011: $4,944.82
Cost of bills to be paid:
1700.39
-
Liz Pollitt mentioned that the
upcoming electric bill was guessed to be around $1,200.
Liz also mentioned that there was
going to be at least one last printing cost for programs but said
it could possibly be two.
Liz also said that AT&T was
becoming a pain to deal with and suggested that we look into
another option, such as getting rid of the line out there and going
completely cellular.
The last thing that Liz mentioned
was Randy Weaver had been using some of his own personal money to
purchase items for his upcoming show “No Time for Sergeants”.
She said that he may need to be reimbursed for some of the costs of
the show.
Larry Eskridge moved to accept
the financial report and pay what bills needed to be paid. David
Miller was the 2nd and the motion was accepted by the
board.
Larry Eskridge then brought up the
topic of the Directors Fee. He tossed around the idea that if a
director did not use their entire budget that the remaining budget
could be a bonus to add to the directors fee.
Committee Reports
Concessions
Concessions are going well. The
prices have gone up but the community has been more than happy to
pay the extra cost to help out the Playhouse.
Christina Brown said that she
has a deal worked out with Hy-Vee to get 100 candy bars for $65.
Concessions are doing well in
the pit for the time being.
David Miller suggested making a
mobile concession stand to put in the pit/rehearsal hall.
Christina Brown said she needs
some help for the next few shows.
At this point the meeting was on
hold for 10 minutes as the smell of smoke began to fill the
Rehearsal Hall. When it was checked the conclusion was one of the
light fixtures in the Rehearsal Hall may have been malfunctioning.
It was unplugged and the meeting resumed.
