Board Meeting
March 8, 2009


The meeting was called to order at 1:35 pm by Tammy Weaver.  Other Board Members in attendance were Sara Mathis, Randy Weaver, Kathi Vandermeer, Ron Bunner, Caleb Suydam.  Amanda Vandermeer & Kelsey Bunner were present.  Liz Pollitt was present.  Randy Weaver said the prayer. 

Caleb motioned to approve the February meeting minutes as is. Ron seconded it.  Voice vote approved. 

Business Manager, Liz Pollitt
Bank balance is $2293.38.  Accountant gave us a lower fee for doing the taxes this year.  Liz will do it online.  Liz presented bills to be paid.  Randy motioned to pay bills & accept financial report.  Ron seconded it.  Voice vote approved. 

Old Business:
Sign – will stay until sign for new show is put up. 

New Business:
Randy will be speaker for Happy Timers at the Christian Church.

Tammy - Still need one board member. John Grant declined the board seat, and declined doing program ad sales. 

Ron suggested doing a sponsor page on the website.

Larry is stepping down as President, but will remain on the board.

Work day is scheduled for Saturday, March 21 @ 10am.

New Season:
Cassie will not do Dracula.  Sara motioned to borrow money from Tom Greenwell’s memorial fund and the riser fund to get the season going with Sweeney Todd.  Ron seconded the motion.  Caleb motioned to raise the children’s show ticket price $1 to $6.  Kathi seconded the motion.  Tammy will check with D. Miller for revising his show to replace Cassie’s.


Spaghetti Dinner & Mystery Dinner theater discussion from Tammy’s summary sheet.
Spaghetti:  Saturday, 4/18 from 4-7pm, $6 pp, will need volunteers for food prep, publicity & bake sale items.  Jordan Vandermeer has a couple of silent auction items.
Murder Mystery:  May 8-10, Fri/Sat at 6:30 pm & Sunday at 2pm.  $20pp. Can seat 100-120 in the church.  Health dept certificate is $50.  Suggested crudites, with chicken entree/potato/vegetable/salad and dessert.  Board members will be responsible for set up/clean up, making & serving the meal.

Make-up – Cassie Derby – no report
Program Ad Sales – Tammy asked for suggestions on how to handle ads this year.
Properties – Caleb Suydam – no report
Publicity – Randy Weaver – had radio auction on 3/7 and sold one set of season tickets.  Randy added a backstage tour to the other set to boost the selling price.  There are 10 radio ads in trade for the auction tickets.  Ads can be used whenever we want. 
Scholarship – Jordan Vandermeer – per Kathi – Larry still needs to put his signature on the CD
Special Events – Tammy Weaver – see above
Technical – Randy Weaver – no report
Wardrobe – Kathi Vandermeer – no report
Set Design – John Harmon – no report
Website – Ron Bunner – has received a few emails, will put driving directions on the website.  He suggested for the photo gallery on the website that we get authorization to use photos.

April 5, 2009 at 1:30pm is the next meeting.
